Position Overview: As a Drug & Alcohol Technician I, you will play a crucial role in executing drug and alcohol testing procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with clients to ensure the accurate and confidential collection of samples, promoting a drug-free workplace.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Drug and Alcohol Testing: Perform urine and breath alcohol testing with precision and adherence to established protocols.

2. Sample Collection: Ensure the accurate and confidential collection of samples from individuals, following strict procedures to maintain integrity.

3. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain testing equipment, ensuring accurate results and compliance with safety standards.

4. Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of testing procedures, including chain of custody forms, in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

5. Client Interaction: Interact professionally with clients and individuals undergoing testing, providing clear instructions and maintaining a respectful and non-intrusive approach.

6. Compliance: Stay informed about changes in regulations related to drug and alcohol testing, ensuring all procedures are up-to-date and in compliance.

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Certification as a Drug & Alcohol Technician is preferred.

• Previous experience in drug and alcohol testing is an asset.

• Strong attention to detail and adherence to established protocols.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
